Settled and Closed - Otero v. Tri-City Economic Development Corporation

This action alleges that Defendant Tri-City Economic Development Corporation, dba Tri-CED Community Recycling, (“Tri-CED”, or “Defendant”): discriminated and harassed Plaintiff on the basis of her sex; failed to take all reasonable steps necessary to prevent discrimination and harassment from occurring in the workplace; retaliated against Plaintiff because Plaintiff made complaints about the discriminatory and harassing actions of Defendant, by, including but not limited to, suspending Plaintiff from her job for three weeks, and ultimately terminating Plaintiff on September 29, 2017; and, Defendant wrongfully terminated Plaintiff on September 29, 2017, in retaliation for Plaintiff making complaints about the discriminatory actions of Defendant.

The parties were able to reach a settlement of all claims and the case is now closed.
