Settled and Closed - Chong v. FedEx Office and Print Services

That Fedex Office and Print Services, Inc. dba Fedex (hereinafter “Defendant”), engaged in unlawful conduct by its: (1) failure to take all reasonable steps to prevent discrimination in the workplace in violation of California Government Code section 12940, subdivision (k); (2) failure to engage in the interactive process, in violation of California Government Code section 12940, subdivision (n); (3) failure to reasonably accommodate Plaintiff’s physical disability, in violation of California Government Code section 12940, subdivision (m)(1); (4) retaliatory conduct in response to Plaintiff’s request for accommodation, in violation of California Government Code section 12940, subdivision (m)(2); and (5) wrongful termination of Plaintiff on the basis of his disability and requests for accommodation in violation of public policy, in violation of Article 1, section 8, of the California Constitution and California Government Code section 12940, et. seq.

On August 31, 2020, Defendant's removed this case to the United States District Court where the case was then sent to Arbitration where the parties were able to reach a settlement of Mr. Chong's claims. The case is closed, as of August 17, 2021.
